German Dustin Brown shocked tennis fans worldwide last night as he beat previous Champion Rafael Nadal. Ranked 102 in the world Brown put on a stunning display of strength, determination & skill as he wowed Wimbledon. Having his childhood in Jamaica, he moved back to Europe over 10 years ago and set his mind to breaking into the tennis scene professionally. Dustin’s parents bought him a VW campervan so that he could travel around Europe, stay at events and minimise his travel and hotel costs.
Dustin admitted a few years ago to journalists that money had been tight in those early days and the campervan enabled him “to have enough money to play the next tournament. That pretty much saved my career. ”
Every VW camper van owner would probably agree with Dustin when he went on to say “It was a bit of an adventure!”
